Description
Diabetic Intervention with Vitamins to Improve Nephropathy (DIVINe) was a double blind RCT on a population of 238 patients with diabetic kidney disease randomized to receive 2.5 mg folic acid plus 25 mg vitamin B6 plus 1 mg vitamin B12, or placebo (mean eGFR was 64 mL/min in treatment group and 58 mL/min in the placebo group)
Research suggests 1-2mg per day injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly produces comparable results to the three-times-weekly approach
