I think this card in this deck works well since it hits all the right places with helping and closing a game

It's a rough Hate-Bear with that ability to shut down all activated abilities of creatures, mana rocks, and planeswalkers, and there's no "non-mana" word in there so your Sol Ring

The snow-capped volcanoes, wreathed in clouds, accurately reflect the geography of Japan (and Kamigawa, the Plane based on it), while the distant Dragon, and its lingering flames in the foreground, add an expected element of myth while still respecting the traditions of Japanese art and culture
